A New Chef for Sepia

Andrew Zimmerman to take the reins at Sepia at the end of March

Sepia owner Emmanuel Nony has announced a major personnel change for his acclaimed, 18-month-old West Loop restaurant. Opening chef Kendal Duque, who is developing his own venture, will be leaving Sepia in late March. For his replacement, Nony has chosen Andrew Zimmerman, a Chicago restaurant industry vet who has cooked at MOD and del Toro and most recently served as chef de cuisine at the esteemed NoMi in the Park Hyatt Hotel.

Once Zimmerman takes over the Sepia kitchen later this month, he will introduce a revamped menu to the much-loved restaurant. But, never fear, ardent fans of Sepia's rustic-yet-refined dishes, Zimmerman will remain true to the innovative restaurant's philosophy of a stylish, modern grill.

Look for Duque to announce his restaurant plans later this year. In the meantime, we have a whole new chapter of Sepia to get to know and love.
