On the eve of the Bears season opener against the Green Bay Packers, the Chicago team made some edits to their roster, cutting linebacker Sam Acho and elevating Lamin Barrow.
Barrow appeared in all 16 games for the Broncos last season with one start, recording eight special teams tackles and one defensive stop. He entered the NFL as a fifth round selection of Denver in 2014 out of Louisiana State University.
Acho appeared in 51 games over four seasons with the Cardinals (2011-14), including 32 starts. He recorded 86 tackles, 13 sacks, 16 tackles for a loss, seven forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, three interceptions and eight pass breakups.
The Bears take on the Green Bay Packers at Soldier Field at noon on Sunday.
