Former Mayor Richard Daley has post-office plans after all.
Daley will announce Tuesday morning his forthcoming appointment at the University of Chicago to "help foster policy discussions at the University’s Harris School of Public Policy Studies," according to a statement.
The specifics of the appointment are not known, though a statement said it will help promote studeies on urban policy and the future of cities. University President Robert J. Zimmer and Chicago Harris Dean Colm O’Muircheartaigh will be on hand to make the announcement.
Before Daley handed off Chicago's mayorship to Rahm Emanuel on May 16, he said he was considering writing a book or teaching a class.
