The Democratic congresswoman from suburban Chicago officially announced her race against Republican Sen. Mark Kirk in Springfield Tuesday after posting a video message online Monday.
The Iraq War combat veteran and two-term congresswoman is a member of the House committee investigating the 2012 attacks in Benghazi, Libya. Duckworth says Clinton should testify before the Benghazi committee. The committee chairman set a deadline Tuesday of May 1.
