Senate candidate Mark Kirk's office said today that he will not attend a Sarah Palin-fronted GOP fundraiser in Rosemont May 12, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Aides say the congressman will be in DC for scheduled house events that day.
The move appears to be a 180-degree turn from November when Kirk's people drafted a memo asking Palin to stop by and say something nice about the candidate while she was in town for an Oprah taping.
