President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama have mailed their absentee ballots for the Chicago mayoral election, sources say.
There's no word on who they picked for the coveted top seat.
President Obama said during a press conference earlier this week in Washington D.C. that he doesn't need to officially endorse candidate Rahm Emanuel.
“He seems to be doing just fine on his own," Obama said. He’s been very busy shoveling snow out there. I never saw him shoveling around here.”
Those planning to vote absentee must postmark their ballots by Saturday. Early voting at 51 locations wraps up at 5 p.m. Thursday.
As of Wednesday, more than 48,000 have voted early. That's more than twice who voted early four years ago, when 23,000 took advantage of it.
