Mayor Rahm Emanuel was in Atlanta for the Final Four, he had his picture taken with basketball Hall-of-Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and he’s apparently rooting for Michigan.
In this photo, taken wherever celebrities are hanging out at the Georgia Dome and tweeted by Kareem, Emanuel’s teenage daughter Leah is wearing a “Michigan Family” t-shirt. Like all the mayor’s children, Leah attends the University of Chicago Lab School. Neither Rahm, his wife or his brothers went to Michigan, so it’s uncertain what the family connection is.
This is the Emanuel family’s second glamorous vacation in a month. In late March, the Emanuels went skiing in Park City, Utah, where Rahm was spotted at Robert Redford’s Sundance Film Festival. Rahm also visited New York in March, to film a Rock Center interview promoting his brother Ezekiel's book, Brothers Emanuel.
