Rep. Tammy Duckworth’s campaign confirmed Friday that the congresswoman will speak at next week’s Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.
Duckworth is tentatively scheduled to speak at the convention next Thursday, the same day that presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is expected to accept the party’s nomination.
Duckworth is currently locked in a contentious battle for Sen. Mark Kirk’s seat in the Senate. Clinton endorsed Duckworth’s candidacy last year. The congresswoman has also scored endorsements from President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who is reportedly on Clinton’s vice presidential shortlist.
Other announced DNC speakers include Warren, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid. Sens. Corey Booker, Sherrod Brown and Tim Kaine will also speak. All three are reportedly on Clinton’s VP shortlist.
