A construction worker struck by a vehicle Friday afternoon has died.
Aurelio Rosales, 33, was struck by a semi-truck exiting at Harlem Avenue on the Stevenson expressway.
Illinois State Police Master Sgt. Joe Stangl said construction in the area allows traffic to only turn left but the truck driver apparently turned right and struck the worker, according to the Chicago Sun Times.
Rosales was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood and was pronounced dead at 5:29 p.m.
Citations for the driver of the truck are pending.
