Kelly Ripa Wants “Fabulous” Chicago Women

Ripa and husband looking for female entrepreneurs

The search is still on for Chicago's most "amazing dynamic" housewives for a new reality show from Tower Productions. The show will have a Real Housewives feel to it, even though it is NOT associated with the Bravo series.

But casting director Becky Cattie isn't the only one looking for savvy female entrepreneurs in Chicago.

Milojo Productions, couple Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos' New York-based production company, is holding a casting call at the Courtyard Downtown/Magnificent Mile Marriott, 165 E Ontario St. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 25-26, Milojo Productions will be looking for "women with fabulous ideas and great personalities."

Milojo plans to begin a new series to TLC that will help female inventors turn their innovative ideas into a real business. In each episode, women will compete for a chance to have their invention featured on the Home Shopping Network.

Applicants must be 18 and over, and they must have a unique product and a working prototype. The audition also calls for a "great, outgoing personality and plenty of passion to back up your great product or invention."

If you can't make it to the open call, video auditions are also accepted.

More information about the show and how to audition can be found at the Milojo Productions website.

Matt Bartosik, editor of Off the Rocks' next issue, considers himself neither savvy nor female.
