A grade school in LaSalle County is being forced to stay closed for the rest of the week because of swine flu fears.
Serena Grade School’s superintendent Dan Joyce told the Chicago Tribune that 69 students either called in sick or went home ill with flu-like symptoms yesterday.
The ill children's symptoms have not been officially classified.
Teachers in Serena, about 60 miles southwest of Chicago, are welcome to come back to school on Wednesday, but are advised to stay home if they feel sick.
