The frontman and his scruffy lead guitarist swept through the NBC Tower lobby with a large entourage, while female officeworkers giggled and men craned their necks while pretending to be uninterested.
The rock quartet opens the second leg of their tour Saturday on a circular stage beneath a 90-foot-tall canopy that looks not unlike the pronged and sinewy mandible of The Predator, or an overlarge aloe plant.
The immense structure took four days to build and will accommodate a 150-foot pylon and a 54-ton cylindrical video screen to light up the stadium.
