A Lakemoor man woke up Thursday morning, to find a female stranger on his couch. If you think that's odd, wait until you hear how she got there.
The 30-year-old woman made quite the journey. She fell out a third-story window, fell onto a parked car, and then wandered into her neighbor's house where she 'crashed' on his couch, police told the Daily Herald.
We've heard of sleepwalking, but sleep-plunging is new.
The woman, unidentified by police, was staying with family near Pondview Lane. Her relatives believe she woke up around 3:30 a.m. and fell through the screen while opening a bedroom window, reports the AP.
From there, she landed on the hood of her car and rolled to the ground.
Perhaps a bit disoriented, she may have mistaken her neighbor's open garage door for her family's townhouse.
"After hitting the ground, she got up and wandered over to the neighbor's house, where he left the garage door open," Police Chief Mike Marchese told the Daily Herald. "She walked through the garage door, into the house, then fell back asleep on the neighbor's couch."

Considering what she'd just been through, we think her oversight can be forgiven.
The woman was treated at Centegra Hospital—McHenry for non-life-threatening injuries. Police say neither drugs nor alcohol played a role.
Hopefully, her hospital room is on the first floor.
