66-Year-Old Willowbrook Woman Missing Since Sunday Found Dead

A woman reported missing Sunday from west suburban Willowbrook was found dead Tuesday afternoon.

Gloria Godinez, 66, was reported missing by her family from her home in the Waterford Subdivision on Sunday, according to Willowbrook police and the DuPage County coroner’s office.

She told her family she was walking to the Five Seasons Health Club at Madison and Plainfield roads in Burr Ridge, police said. She was last seen entering the club.

During a search, a Willowbrook police officer found the body of a woman lying near a fence in a bushy area in the 400 block of Plainfield Road, police said. She was later identified as Godinez.

“At this point in the investigation, there is no reason to believe there is any threat to the community,” a statement from police said.

Willowbrook police and the coroner’s office are investigating. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
