Caitlyn Jenner will make her Chicago debut in November as the keynote speaker for an event put on by an organization that provides housing for LGBT individuals and those impacted by HIV/AIDS.
Chicago House announced Monday that Jenner will speak at their seventh annual speaker series luncheon on Nov. 12. The luncheon will be held in the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton Chicago, located at 720 S. Michigan Ave., from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The organization said this year's speaker series will highlight "the marginalization and suffering disproportionately experienced by transgender individuals."
Jenner, a former Olympian and the subject of the E! series "I Am Cait," won the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage at the 2015 ESPYs last month.
"You can join Chicago House in building a world of respect for all people, so we can achieve the same end Caitlyn Jenner called us to aspire to, and I quote, '... from that respect comes a more compassionate community, a more empathetic society and a better world for all of us,'" Stan Sloan, CEO of Chicago House, said.
The speaker series has hosted prominent and well-known individuals in the past as well, including President Bill Clinton, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, actress Whoopi Goldberg and Hillary Clinton.
More than 1,000 people are expected to attend the luncheon. Ticket prices start at $200, and premier seating and VIP packages are available for additional charge.
