If you’re single in Chicago, well, you might now consider yourself lucky.
According to a new report, Chicago has been named “America’s Best City for Dating.”
The ranking was done by The Great Love Debate, a nationally-touring series of live events for singles. Researchers considered the opinions and demographic data from over 35,000 single people who have attended the show’s events since 2014, using that data to rank the best cities for dating.
The report showed Chicago received high marks for the diversity and attractiveness of its population, the vibrancy of its social scene, its sense of civic pride and the confidence within its dating community.
Chicago beat out Lexington, Kentucky for the top spot on the list, also topping Charlotte, Washington DC and Denver. Seattle, Milwaukee, Phoenix, Minneapolis and Portland rounded out the top 10.
The worst cities for dating were Philadelphia, Atlanta and Miami.
The Great Love Debate is scheduled to bring local experts and an audience made up of 100 eligible bachelors and 100 single women together to discuss the current state of dating in Chicago. The tour will be in the city for a little more than two weeks beginning at the end of this month.
