Seven people were killed and at least 47 more people — including an 8-year-old girl — were wounded in shootings across the city between Friday evening and Monday morning, according to Chicago Police.

The weekend’s latest homicides happened within 20 minutes of each other Sunday afternoon on the Southwest and West sides.

About 4:30 p.m. in Gage Park, someone walked up to a 35-year-old man in the hallway of a home in the 5500 block of South Spaulding and shot him in the left leg. He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he later died, police said. An unspecified number of witnesses were being uncooperative with the investigation, police said. No one was in custody Sunday evening.

At 4:12 p.m. in West Garfield Park, two people walked up to a 23-year-old man on a sidewalk near West End and Keystone avenues and opened fire, hitting him in the chest and abdomen. He died at Stroger Hospital, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office did not immediately have information on those deaths.

Sunday morning in the West Side Austin neighborhood, a vehicle pulled up to a 14-year-old boy standing at the corner of North and Luna avenues about 5 a.m. and someone inside it fired shots, hitting the boy in the head, police said. He was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities have not released his name.

Just before 3 a.m. in the Marquette Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side, a 25-year-old man got into an argument at a house party in the 7000 block of South Artesian and someone shot him in the head, police said. He died at the scene. Family members identified him as Darius Brownlee.

About midnight, officers responding to a call of a person shot in the West Side Homan Square neighborhood found 24-year-old Jesus Valois on the porch of his home in the 3700 block of West Grenshaw with a gunshot wound to the chest, according to police and the medical examiner’s office. He had been shot at a different location before returning home to tell his family what happened, police said. Valois died at 1:30 a.m. at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Saturday night, a 20-year-old man was gunned down in the Belmont Gardens neighborhood on the Northwest Side. About 8:15 p.m., officers responding to a call of a person down in the 2700 block of North Harding found him on a sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the back of the head. He was dead at the scene, police said. Authorities have withheld his name.

The weekend’s first fatal shooting happened Friday evening in the West Chatham neighborhood on the South Side, where 25-year-old Christopher Kent was shot repeatedly in the 7700 block of South Lafayette, authorities said. Kent, who lived a block north of where he was shot, died at Stroger Hospital at 6:33 p.m. Police have not released details on the circumstances of the attack.

Sunday night, an 8-year-old girl was shot in the arm and a 36-year-old woman in the hand about 7:50 p.m. in the 1600 block of North Major on the West Side, police said. Someone drove them to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where their conditions were stabilized. Police said two males were arguing on the street at the time when gunfire erupted. The girl and woman were not the intended targets. No one was in custody early Monday as Area North detectives investigate.

The latest nonfatal shootings happened within five minutes of each other Sunday night.

About 9:15 p.m., a 21-year-old man was shot Sunday night in the Ravenswood neighborhood on the Northwest Side. He was shot in the buttocks and left leg in the 5000 block of North Francisco, police said. The man later showed up at Swedish Covenant Hospital, where his condition was stabilized. Police said the man was uncooperative with investigators and “provided contradictory accounts of the circumstances.”
