Gas Station Assault, Robbery Caught on Video

Reward offered for information in armed robbery

Police have released surveillance video of two men robbing a Dolton gas station last month and assaulting the clerk.

The men -- one armed with a butcher knife -- walked into the Clark station at at 736 E. 142nd Street in Dolton about 8:15 a.m. on May 20, according to a statement from Cook County Crime Stoppers.

The video shows the clerk struggled with the man holding the knife until the other robber punches her in the face, takes money out of the register and steals cigarettes.

The men stole an unspecified amount of money before running off.

The clerk suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the robbery.

A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the case.
