It was bound to happen.
Saturday Night Live writers didn't miss the chance to take advantage of Illinois' scandal-plagued governor. They lampooned his misfortunes this week in their opening skit, bleeps and all.
Too bad the reality hasn't been all that funny for the people of Illinois.
The obscenity laced sketch of Gov. Rod Blagojevich pleading his financial case to a Senate committee included a potty-mouth appearance by Illinois First Lady Patti Blagojevich.
Saturday Night Live hasn't released the video clip of the opening just yet, but this guy apparently grabbed some clips of the comedic tirade from his Tivo and added his own commentary.
Since the U.S. attorney's office detailed f-word-laced recordings of the governor and his wife amid charges he tried to sell president-elect Barack Obama's senate seat, Blagojevich has been fodder for comedians like Letterman, Leno, Colbert and Stewart.

In fact, he's been topic a for just about every cable program, newspaper, blog and water cooler discussion.
Blagojevich wasn't the only governor to get the 'SNL' treatment. Fred Armisen played up New York Governor David Paterson's blindness during a bit on Weekend Update. Blagojevich's troubles have shined a spotlight on Paterson because he's in a similar position of appointing someone to fill Hillary Clinton's soon-to-be vacant Senate seat.
Poehler, who made a surprise return to the show last week after giving birth to her son Archie two months ago, also stunned viewers last night by announcing the end of her run on the late-night anchor desk.
"This is my last show," Poehler announced after "Weekend Update."
"Being able to do over 140 shows with my friends and my family has been a dream come true."
"I love you," she told the audience, "and I will miss all of you very much."
