‘I Just Want My Baby Back': Mother of Baby Killed While Sitting in Stroller Speaks Out

“I just want my baby back,” were the only words Shatrele McComb could manage to get out before leaving the schedule press conference

The mother of a baby killed in his stroller by a speeding car over the weekend was scheduled to address her son’s devastating death Wednesday, but was too overcome with emotion.

“I just want my baby back,” were the only words Shatrelle McComb could manage to get out before leaving the scheduled press conference.

Just four days prior, McComb's 13-month-old son Dillan Harris was killed before her eyes when his stroller was hit by a car that police believe was fleeing the scene of a shooting Saturday.

On Monday, Antoine Watkins, 21, of the 8100 block of South Bennett Avenue, appeared in court after being charged with the infant’s death.

The hearing was forced to stop when McComb broke down in tears and began to scream.

Watkins was charged with one felony count of murder, a misdemeanor count of attempting to elude police and a citation for driving without insurance following the fatal crash.

A memorial fund has been set up for the baby at US Bank.
