It turns out not everyone wants to live in the hustle and bustle that is downtown Chicago, according to a new report.
In a recent survey from brokerage and bank company Charles Schwab, current Chicagoans picked Naperville as the place they would most like to call home.
More than 1,000 Chicago residents ages 21 to 75 years old were asked their most desired place to live if money were no object, and it turns out the majority would rather be in the popular western suburb.
Lincoln Park came in second as the most desired neighborhood, followed by Chicago's downtown Loop.
So why are so many Chicago residents not living where they really want to be? Money is the issue. Sixty-five percent of those surveyed said they’re not living in their preferred neighborhood because it is too expensive.
Here are the top picks for most desired neighborhoods in Chicagoland:

2. Lincoln Park (12 percent)
3. The Loop (9 percent)
4. River North (7 percent)
5. Schaumburg (6 percent)
6. Lakeview (6 percent)
7. Evanston (4 percen
