President Barack Obama isn't afraid to show a little hometown pride, especially when it comes to sports.
The president on Wednesday continued that tradition while watching the Bulls trounce the Charlotte Bobcats at a viewing party at the White House.
And when you get an invitation to the White House to watch the game, party affiliations go out the window. Both Sens. Dick Durbin and Mark Kirk were there, as were Reps. Jesse Jackson Jr and Luis Gutierrez, Danny Davis and Jan Schakowsky.
It was just the latest event Obama is dedicating to his Chicago teams.
On Friday, Obama will honor the Blackhawks for their 2009-2010 Stanley Cup victory. The president invited the team to Washington, D.C., for a ceremony and a children's street hockey clinic on the South Lawn.
Obama's allegiances seem clear. Remember the 2009 MLB All-Star game? Obama threw out the first pitch wearing a black White Sox training jacket. The toss cleared the plate, with a little help from St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Albert Pujols.
Earlier this year, Obama predicted a win for the Bears in their post-season game against the Green Bay Packers.
His team didn't win -- but it's the thought that counts, right?
