A man was killed when two semi trucks collided early Tuesday, police said, closing all lanes of northbound I-55 in southwest suburban Bolingbrook for several hours.
Illinois State Police said the crash happened before 3:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-55 at Route 53. For more than three hours all northbound lanes were closed as emergency crews worked to clear the roadway.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
Further details on the cause of the accident and number of people involved were not immediately made available.
At 7 a.m., Sky5 footage appeared to show enough of the debris had been removed to allow for one lane to be reopened for traffic.
