Three men were found dead in a home in the Northwest Side neighborhood of Mayfair Friday evening.
Police responded to the home in the 4600 block of N. Kostner around 5:25 p.m. for a well-being check when they found three people deceased, they said.
One of the victims was identified as a 73-year-old man, who neighbors say was the father of the other two victims, whose ages were not known.
Tom Maloney, a neighbor who characterized the area as quiet, said he saw the father and one of his sons talking in the backyard, but it did not appear that anything was wrong. Moments later, he heard gunfire.
"It's tragic, it's sudden, it's surprising," Maloney said.
Another neighbor, Walter Eliasen, said the family was quiet and kept to themselves, but there were never any problems.
"No problems, no yelling, no screaming, very nice," Eliasen said.

A police source said the incident appears to be domestic-related, and police are investigating it as a homicide.
