Robots in disguise will descend upon Chicago for a third time.
Director Michael Bay confirmed to WGN Radio that “Transformers 5” will be filmed in Chicago later this year.
"I'm coming back to Chicago," Bay said in the interview with WGN Radio's Dean Richards. "I love Chicago."
The franchise's fourth installment, “Transformers: Age of Extinction," rocked the streets outside of McCormick Place in 2013. Three years prior, “Transformers: Dark of the Moon,” left its mark on the Mag Mile with big explosive stunts drawing massive crowds of spectators. But don’t expect the film crew to head back to those spots.
“We're gonna find a new street,” Bay said, before briefly touching on the current state of the city following months of protests and unrest.
"How is Chicago right now?" Bay asked knowingly.
"There may be more destruction going on right now than you inflicted on us," WGN Radio's Richards said.

"Alright, we're coming with some transformers to kind of even it out," Bay told Richards.
Actor Mark Wahlberg is expected to return as Cade Yeager in the fifth installment of the multi-billion dollar movie franchise. “Transformers 5” is scheduled for release in 2017.
