Two people were injured in a fiery four-vehicle crash early Sunday on the Dan Ryan Expressway.
The crash happened about 4:30 a.m. in the outbound express lanes of I-90/94 near 29th Street, according to Illinois State Police.
One person was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious-to-critical condition, said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Chief Jeff Lyle. Another person was taken to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Traffic was temporarily diverted to the local lanes, but all express lanes were reopened to traffic shortly before 5:30 a.m., police said.
