Munenori Kawasaki has endeared himself to Chicago Cubs fans with his engaging personality and his affinity for the movie “Armageddon,” and a new outtakes video of the infielder will do nothing to diminish his popularity.

Currently with the Cubs’ minor-league affiliate in Des Moines, Kawasaki participated in the team’s promotional video for a Jake Arrieta beard beanie that the club will be giving away over the weekend.

The team released a blooper reel of sorts as Kawasaki tries on the beanie, and the results are predictably awesome:

Between this video and the Aerosmith rendition while the Cubs were in Mesa, it’s not difficult to see why fans have fallen in love with Kawasaki. During his brief call-up earlier this season, fans at Wrigley Field gave him a standing ovation and chanted his name when he came up to bat for the team’s home opener.
