A Minnesota woman was arrested after she bit off her husband’s ear during an argument over beer, the St. Cloud Times reported.
St. Cloud resident Jamie Elrod, 37 is facing a first-degree assault charge, according to Stearns County’s website.
Officers were called to the home to investigate and discovered part of the man’s ear on the floor, St. Cloud Times cited a criminal complaint as saying.
The victim said Elrod started shouting at him because of a beer and followed him into a bedroom where she allegedly “went off on him,” according to the report.
Elrod appeared to have been drinking and when asked about the ear, she said she did not know, according to the report.
However, a review of phone calls made by Elrod from jail showed that she admitted to biting off the ear, the report stated.
Elrod is currently being held at the Stearns County Jail on $30,000 bond, according to Stearns County’s website. Her attorney information wasn’t immediately available.
