A death investigation is underway after a body was found along Northwest Highway in suburban Arlington Heights, according to police.
According to Arlington Heights Police, officers discovered a 65-year-old man lying near the roadway after receiving a 911 call at approximately 3:30 p.m.
The man was later pronounced dead at the scene, and there is no preliminary indication of foul play, according to authorities.
The victim's identity has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office is conducting its own investigation into the death, in accordance with standard policy.
