Early Voting in Chicago Mayor, City Council Runoff Election Begins Monday

Chicago's runoff election is scheduled for April 4

NBC Universal, Inc.

In Chicago, it's election season -- again -- as polls Monday will open for early voting ahead of April 4 runoff election.

Beginning at 9 a.m., residents will be able to vote at the city's Supersite, located at 191 N. Clark St., as well as early voting locations in all 50 wards. And while most of the attention will be on the Chicago mayoral race between Cook County Commissioner Brandon Johnson and former Chicago Public Schools CEO Paul Vallas, 14 city council races in the Feb. 28 election also went to a runoff, due to no candidate receiving at least 50% of the vote.

For Chicago residents who choose to vote by mail, ballots can be returned to a secure drop box at any of the city's early voting locations or Election Day polling places.

Voters can continue to send in vote-by-mail applications until March 30, which is the final day the city's Board of Elections can receive new applications.
