A family of four was found dead after an explosion which engulfed their Northfield, Ohio, home in flames, NBC News reported.
The Northfield Center Fire Department said crews were dispatched to the home after reports of an explosion. The home was “completely engulfed in flames” and it took almost a half-hour to control the blaze, Fire Chief Frank Risko told NBC News.
A man, woman, and two young girls — ages 8 and 12 — were found dead inside the home, said Risko. He did not identify the victims.
State fire marshals are investigating what caused the explosion and are working to determine if gas was a factor, said Risko.
