Vice President Joe Biden is taking a break from federal budget talks Tuesday to attend a couple of fundraisers in President Obama's hometown.
Biden's first stop after arriving in Chicago Tuesday afternoon is the Riva Crab House at Navy Pier for a 4:30 p.m. fundraiser for Obama's 2012 campaign. Tickets to the event cost between $5,000 and $10,000.
From there, Biden heads to the Navy Pier Grand Ballroom to give the keynote address for Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy's annual fundraiser.
Hundreds are expected to attend the event for CURE, founded by David Axelrod's wife, Susan. Other guests include "Wait Wait… Don't Tell Me" host Peter Sagal and Joe Scarborough of MSNBC's "Morning Joe."
Obama visited Chicago in April for a trio of 2012 campaign fundraisers in two days.
