A man who spent his adult life cruising around the country searching for rare antique cars has turned his sights on something he never had before, a wife.
Jerry Andreasen is putting his entire 90-car strong collection up for auction, according to the Omaha World-Herald, which he said has drained most of his resources.
“I'd put all my money into cars,” the 74-year-old Andreasen told the World-Herald. “Whatever I'd make, I'd turn around and put it into cars. but I'd never do it again because I never had time for anything else. I've never been on a date.”
His collection spans from a classic 1918 Buick truck reminiscent of the one driven by the Beverly Hillbillies in the popular television series of old to his personal favorite, a 1963 Falcon Ranchero. He told the World-Herald he loved that car because it “didn’t use much gas.”
He’s looking to move on to a new chapter in his life, “I think I'm going to look for a wife, and I don't care if she already has a half-dozen kids.”
