NBC5 and NBC Chicago.com will be the premier destination for Chicago's best election coverage.
Beginning at noon on Election Day, NBC5 News will do hourly special reports throughout the afternoon, while NBC5 newscasts at 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. will air as usual, live from Studio 5.
NBC Nightly News, anchored by Brian Williams, will begin at 5:30 p.m. with NBC News election coverage follwoing at 6 p.m. and continuing throughout the evening. NBC5 news with Allison Rosati and Warner Saunders will provide local updates on the half-hour.
The NBC5 News will air at 10 p.m. and NBC News national coverage will follow.
Beginning at 8 p.m., "Election Raw" will replace Weather Plus programming on Digital Channel 5.2 (Comcast Cable Channel 194, RCN Cable 190, and Wide Open West Cable Channel 130). "Election Raw" will provide viewers with an uninterrupted live view of what's happening at candidates' headquarters, Board of Elections, the Barack Obama rally at Grant Park and McCain headquarters in Arizona. This will be a unique way to view the "behind the scene" happenings in an unedited format. Our election results ticker also provide viewers with up-to-date results.
The new nbcchicago.com will feature an interactive map where users can track electoral votes, get updated local race results and read blogs from political insiders.
