One person was killed in a serious crash near north Aurora Tuesday morning.
Police said the two-vehicle crash happened near the intersection of Route 31 and Mooseheart Road, near the entrance to Mooseheart School, according to the Kane County Sheriff's office.
One person was extricated from a vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene, the Batavia Fire Department said. A second person was transported to Delnor Hospital with unknown injuries.
The roadway was completely shut down for the investigation.
Drivers were urged to use Route 25 or Randall/Orchard Road as a detour.
