This Valentine's Day night is a good one to cuddle up to stay warm.
Chicago is set to see one of the coldest Valentine’s Days on record as a cold front moves back into the area following a bitter Thursday and a Wind Chill Advisory takes effect Saturday night.
Temperatures remained in the 20's Saturday morning following the brief warm-up on Friday, but they will gradually fall to the single digits throughout the afternoon on Valentine's Day. By 5 p.m. the high was 8 degrees
The winds also picked up throughout the day, and by Saturday night they could reach 45 mph. Wind chill temperatures are expected to be as low as -15 to -25 degrees.
The Wind Chill Advisory will begin at 8 p.m. Saturday and end at 9 a.m. Sunday and will be in effect for the entire Chicago area.
Temperatures overnight and into Sunday morning could be as low as -10 degrees with wind chills as low as -30 degrees.
The Chicago area is set to tie the coldest Valentine's Day on record, which was set in 1943 when the high was also 8 degrees.

Meanwhile in Northwest Indiana, a Winter Storm Warning is in place from 9 a.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday for Porter and La Porte Counties. Upwards of 6 inches of snow are expected to fall throughout the afternoon.
Temperatures will remain chilly throughout the weekend with a high of 10 degrees on Sunday. There will be a slight warm-up at the beginning of the week, with highs in the upper teens and low 20s on Monday and Tuesday.
Another cold wave is expected to follow with temperatures plunging into the single digits again on Wednesday.
