The first-ever physical Google retail store in the Midwestern U.S. opened Friday at the popular Oakbrook Center shopping mall.

Those planning to do holiday shopping at the Chicago area’s largest mall will have their chance to take their children along for a visit with Santa Claus beginning next week.

A new Barnes & Noble bookstore in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood opens to the public Wednesday, inside an architecturally historic building that once housed Walgreen’s iconic “Vitamin Vault.”

The campaign is focused on voters in the swing states likely to decide the race between Republican nominee Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris.

Some 20,000 people are expected to attend the rally on the Ellipse and the National Mall.

Toys ‘R’ Us marked the grand opening of it first standalone location in the Chicago area with much fanfare on Saturday.

Though Toys “R” Us operates at several Macy’s stores across the Chicago area, the beloved toy store will open its first standalone store in the region this weekend at Harlem Irving Plaza in suburban Norridge.

The piece is apparently named The Resolute Desk, according to a public gathering permit provided to NBC News by the National Park Service.

After a few holiday seasons of solely existing inside Macy’s store, iconic toy brand Toys “R” Us is reopening standalone brick-and-mortar stores once again, with a suburban Chicago mall garnering one of the first locations.
