The Chicago Blackhawks will be without one of their key penalty killers on Saturday, as center Marcus Kruger will miss the team’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers with a left leg injury.
Kruger, who has two goals in 16 games so far this season for the Blackhawks, was injured during Thursday’s loss to the Carolina Hurricanes. Kruger was skating hard toward the net when he was knocked down and crashed into the post.
He was later helped off the ice, and didn’t return to the game.
Luke Johnson will likely slot into the lineup in place of Kruger when the Blackhawks battle the Flyers at noon on Saturday. The game will air on NBC Sports Chicago.
