An Illinois attorney general candidate was reportedly robbed at gunpoint while taking campaign photos on Chicago's Northwest Side this week.
Aaron Goldstein was with several members of his campaign taking publicity shots around 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the Albany Park neighborhood when the robbery happened, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Chicago police confirmed a robbery took place in the 4600 block of North Albany Avenue around that time.
There, police say a group of offenders walked up to a victim, displayed a weapon and demanded the victim's property.
No one was in custody as of Friday morning and Area North Detectives were investigating.
The Tribune, citing a law enforcement source, reports Goldstein was robbed and four others were robbed of their camera equipment and cellphones.
Campaign manager Robert Murphy told the Tribune no one was harmed in the robbery.
