Today, Obama gave the pool 'the slip'.
Translation: The media refers to it as 'the pool." They're the reporters who spend every day following president-elect Barack Obama's every move to share with the world.
Richard Wolf of USA Today reported that the president-elect "eluded the pool at 3:21 pm by leaving (the) transition offices 24 minutes before the afternoon pool call."
By the time the press pool got together, Obama was already home.
"No word on why the early day," said Wolf. "The rain was threatening to freeze, though."
