Two years ago, Oprah Winfrey surprised her studio audience by giving each of them a brand new car, in what turned out to be one of the most famous episodes of the talk show.
But some of the women in that audience haven't forgotten Oprah's generosity, and traveled to Chicago Friday to "pay it forward."
The women, from all over the country, volunteered at Lurie Children's Hospital.
"We're paying it forward and giving someone a nice surprise like we got that day," Amy Avakian said.
The volunteers provided some fun and distraction for many of the kids who are dealing with serious illnesses.
"I just want to say thank you for coming and making kids like me feel like regular people," 6th grader Juan Carlos Estrada said.
