A west suburban teenager seriously wounded in a shooting on the West Side on Sunday weekend died Tuesday afternoon.
About 10 p.m. Sunday, Jonathan Wilson, 17, was outside when he was shot at 5053 W. Le Moyne St., according to a Grand Central District police sergeant.
He was taken in serious condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, according to the sergeant, who said no one else was wounded and the shooter was not in custody.
Wilson, of 1810 S. Austin Blvd. in Cicero, died at Mount Sinai at 3:04 p.m. Tuesday, a Cook County Medical Examiner’s office spokesman said. An autopsy conducted Wednesday found he suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head and his death has been ruled a homicide.
Grand Central Area detectives are investigating.
