FARM FRESH: The Chicago Cultural Center presents the FamilyFarmed Expo, a weekend harvest festival showcasing locally produced food. A farmers' market offers products, including fresh produce, meat, cheese, chocolate, handmade spirits, baked goods, bath and body items and more, from more than 100 vendors. Chef demos by the likes of Rick Bayless of Frontera Grill and Gale Gand of Tru will be offered to teach you what to do with all the good stuff you just bought. 10AM-7PM, $15-$20.
FIT AS A FIDDLE: The Chicago Bluegrass and Blues Festival takes over the Congress Theater today. Some 20 local and national performers will take the stage, while an open jam session (don't forget your banjo!) gets everyone in on the act. The event will be filmed for a documentary, so run a comb through your hair. An after-party follows at Elbo Room. 12PM, $31.
GIVE A LITTLE: Lincoln Park's Salon Soca hosts a benefit shopping party featuring gift ideas from local clothing designers, paper companies and home decor artisans. Food, music and a raffle add to the fun. Proceeds go to the Lincoln Park Community Shelter. 6-9PM, $5.
UNDERNEATH IT ALL: Famous hot body Carmen Electra hosts a racy runway show for local lingerie boutique Isabella at Enclave nightclub. Stick around for a live set from Korn guitarist, Rob Patterson, who just happens to be Electra's fiance. 8PM, $20.
