What You're Doing Tonight: Dec. 8

A holiday train show, a meal with bubbles and a grown-up take on kids' stuff

CHOO ON THIS: Watch in wonder as model trains wend their way through a miniature village, including replicas of iconic Chicago buildings, as well as poinsettias and holiday decorations, at the Lincoln Park Conservatory's "Winter Flower and Train Show." 9AM-5PM, free.

L2WHOA: You've been dying to try chef Laurent Gras' megahit restaurant L20 since it opened last spring. Now's your chance to not only indulge in a five-course feast (including kampachi, champagne-poached oysters, Maine lobster, veal rack and a creme fraiche sorbet) prepared by the master, you'll get those dishes paired with fab Laurent Perrier champagnes. Sign us up. 6PM, $195.

(NOT SO) KID-FRIENDLY: Join local comics Megan Doherty and Jacob A. Ware as they give kids' stuff like imaginary friends and fairy tales a decidedly adult spin in "Information for Children" at the Apollo Theater. The performers use sketch comedy, songs and multimedia to tackle these topics, which also veer into more serious subject matter, as well. 8:30PM, $8-$10.
