An 11-year-old boy sustained serious injuries after being shot by a 7-year-old Friday night on Chicago's West Side, police said.
The shooting was reported at approximately 8:23 p.m. in the 3100 block of West Filmore. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the neck and was transported to Stroger Hospital in serious condition.
The incident remained under investigation by Area North detectives Friday night.
