One person is dead and at least two others were wounded in a shooting in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood on Wednesday night.
According to Chicago police, three men were standing on a sidewalk in the 6600 block of North Clark Street at approximately 8:50 p.m. when an unidentified assailant fired shots.
One of the men was struck in the chest by gunfire, and was rushed to St. Francis Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A 43-year-old man was shot in the abdomen, and a 48-year-old man was shot in the face. Both men were taken to area hospitals in fair condition, police said.
No suspects are currently in custody, and police are investigating.
