In the top 100 towns on the list, there were zero violent crimes reported.
The top-ranked Illinois town on the list was Pawnee, a village in Sangamon County located just outside of Springfield, which ranked at no. 9.
Campton Hills in Kane County also ranked at no. 24.
Other cities to be named in the top 100 on the list including Smithton in far southwest Illinois, which ranked at no. 68.
Indian Head Park, southwest of Chicago, also made the list at no. 81.
