At least eight people were injured when a CTA bus collided with a car in Chicago's Chatham neighborhood during Monday morning rush hour, officials said.
Just after 9 a.m., firefighters responded to a crash involving a CTA Bus #4 Cottage Grove in the 8100 block of South Cottage Grove, according to Chicago fire media.
CTA officials said the bus was traveling southbound when it struck by an incoming vehicle traveling northbound that had crossed into its path at the intersection of Cottage Grove and 81st Street.
An EMS Plan 1, which calls for six ambulances, was called to the scene and at least eight adults were transported to various hospitals, according to Chicago fire media.
At least one of the injured passengers was the driver of the bus, a CTA spokesperson said.
