It appears Chicago's own Chance the Rapper will give Chicago teachers a shout out on "Saturday Night Live," according to a tweet from the rapper.
Chance the Rapper will serve as both host and musical guest on the Oct. 26 episode of "SNL," which airs at 10:29 p.m. on NBC 5.
On Thursday afternoon, Twitter user Laura Miner posted a picture of a person who appears to be a Chicago Public Schools teacher wearing a "Chance" hat. The Tweet said, "CPS teachers reppin' you this strike... rep us on SNL?"
Chance the Rapper replied to the tweet on Saturday afternoon, saying "I gotchu."
Members of the Chicago Teachers Union have been on strike since Oct. 17, resulting in seven days of canceled classes for approximately 300,000 CPS students.
