A Downers Grove North High school student was hit by car outside the school and hospitalized during school hours Tuesday, school officials said.
Around 11 a.m., the student was struck by a car while crossing Main Street.
According to police, the student was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with injuries, but his or her condition was not immediately known. The school said the family of the student was notified.
Main Street was closed south of Sherman and north of Lincoln as authorities investigated, police said. It will remain closed until the investigation is complete, according to police.
